Why thermal bridges matter
Repeating steel members and concentrated connections can create conductive paths through an otherwise insulated assembly. Continuous insulation and carefully designed junctions reduce that risk, but the solution must be calculated for the actual build-up.
Airtightness and vapour are different
An airtight layer controls unintended air leakage; a vapour-control strategy manages moisture diffusion and convection. Product location, continuity and compatibility must be resolved around floors, roofs, openings and penetrations.
Condensation is a design check
Internal use changes moisture load. A gym, office, treatment room or annexe may have different ventilation and humidity conditions. Interstitial and surface condensation risks should be assessed using the intended materials and occupancy.
Ask for a complete build-up
A useful specification names each layer, thickness, location, fixing route and junction responsibility. Forti Nova can supply selected exterior systems, while the appointed designer remains responsible for confirming the building performance.
